Care Hub is committed to the safety and wellbeing of all vulnerable adults and children who use our platform. We take safeguarding seriously and expect all users — carers and families alike — to uphold these principles.
What is Safeguarding?
Safeguarding means protecting people's health, wellbeing, and human rights, and enabling them to live free from harm, abuse, and neglect. It is especially important for children, young people, and vulnerable adults.
Recognising Abuse
Abuse can take many forms including physical, emotional, financial, sexual, or neglect. Signs may include unexplained injuries, withdrawal, sudden changes in behaviour, poor hygiene, or fear around a particular person. If something doesn't feel right, trust your instincts and act.
What to Do if You Have Concerns

DBS Checks
Care Hub allows carers to display their DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) status on their profile. However, Care Hub does not independently verify DBS certificates or their currency. Families are strongly advised to:

Families using the platform are responsible for making safe recruitment decisions. Care Hub provides a platform to connect people, but the decision to engage a carer — and the ongoing management of that relationship — rests with the family or individual.
Reporting Concerns to Care Hub
If you have a safeguarding concern about a user on our platform, please use the "Report a Problem" button on their profile, or contact us directly. We will review all reports promptly and take appropriate action, which may include suspending or removing accounts.
